The Gingras Shear/Press-Brake is quite simple to use and requires only a few hours of training. Your operator will appreciate the GINGRAS's diversity and flexibility compared to conventional machines. For example, the GINGRAS's versatility allows for the cutting of a leg of angle iron lengthwise and the beveling of its ends. The upper rotating ram offers the possibility of inserting more odd-shaped pieces. To facilitate the replacement of the blades and to maximize their efficiency, they come in interchangeable sections and are usable on each of their four edges. In addition, replacement of the blades is made easy by the rotating of the upper ram and by the possibility of keeping the hold-downs in the retracted position.
Once shearing has been completed, the operator has only to turn the switch and press on the control pedal to transform the machine into a press-brake. With no fuss, the operator can form the sheared pieces into the desired parts without having to move to another workstation. Whatever the dimensions of the machine, you can always use it to its full capacity. This means that a 10-foot Gingras machine can bend a 10-foot part between its housings. Heat-treated alloys are used to maximize the durability of the bed. If damaged, the beds are replaceable. The unique balancing system ensures full tonnage at any point during the stroke and over the entire length of the ram. Moreover, the shaping of cones is possible.
